Design for Non Profits is a group of volunteers. We care. We are not paid for our services, however we work hard to provide good causes with services that might be unaffordable for many cause groups or organizations. We are not a 503(c)(3), but a group of students and professionals working to enrich our portfolios, gain experience in the industry, network with our communities or be an effective benefactor to our communities and our environment. Design for Non Profts was created to help people in need connect with people in need
The DFNP project began as a personal effort by Susan Moulton, (a graphic design instructor at a community college), to find valid, credible, real-world projects for students. Susan's involvement with the Taproot Foundation in Chicago provided the idea for Design for Non Profits, which provides free design services to non profit organizations—503(c)(3) or otherwise.
We're keeping it simple!
Whereas the DFNP system would not work well with a for profit organization, our system keeps the process as simple as possible. It is still a professional process, however with the cost restraints removed, we can afford this luxury. Projects are approached using the same Creative Brief and documentation, however there are far fewer constraints.
We're keeping it personal!
We try to keep the process personalized. Even though this may create a more arduous task in regard to a completion date, our goal is to invest in communication and take the time necessary to provide a product you will find useful, useable, and maintainable. See our list of services and then learn about our 5-step creative process before contacting us about your non profit needs.
